What cookies are
Cookies are small files that websites may store on your device. Similar technologies can include browser storage, pixels, tags, and server logs. They may be used for necessary website functions, preferences, analytics, security, or embedded third-party services.
Current cookie use on this website
Based on the current source code review, the ZicterCode website does not intentionally include Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, embedded videos, newsletter scripts, or CRM tracking scripts.
The website includes consent-gated analytics readiness for Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These tools do not load unless a real public project ID is configured and the visitor accepts optional analytics. If no analytics ID is configured, no optional analytics script is loaded.
If optional analytics are configured, the visitor's analytics choice is stored in localStorage under the key zictercode-analytics-consent so the website can remember whether analytics were accepted or rejected.
The website may still involve basic technical logs or necessary technical processing from hosting, security, or infrastructure providers. These may include IP address, browser type, timestamps, requested pages, and error logs.
Optional analytics and heatmaps
Google Analytics 4 may be used to understand privacy-safe website usage, such as page views, CTA clicks, blog CTA clicks, and successful form submissions. Personal form-field content should not be sent to analytics.
Microsoft Clarity may be used only if a project ID is configured and analytics consent is accepted. If session recording or heatmap features are enabled, sensitive form fields should be masked and the setup should be reviewed before publishing.
Visitors can reject optional analytics. If optional analytics are configured, the footer will show a Privacy Settings control to change the choice later.
Third-party services detected
The current website uses Formspree for form submissions. When you submit a contact form, the data you enter is sent to Formspree so the inquiry can be delivered.
The website also loads Google Fonts for typography. This may cause your browser to make requests to Google servers when loading the site.
No non-essential analytics script should load before consent. If advertising pixels, embedded media, newsletter tools, CRM tracking, or other marketing tools are added later, this policy should be updated and the consent mechanism should be reviewed.
How to control cookies
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to delete existing cookies, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how certain websites function.
Changes to this policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated if the website adds analytics, embedded content, advertising tools, preference storage, or other third-party services.
Manual review before publishing: confirm the hosting provider and whether any production-only analytics, security, CDN, heatmap, or cookie-setting tools are added outside the repository.
